Spring Tour & Malvern Show —2nd to 4th JUNE 2023 & Club AGM

The annual National Kit Car Show at Stoneleigh is no more! Reduced grounds due to HS2 and cost have meant that this show has been re-badged as The National Kit & Sports Car Show and will be held on Saturday June 3rd and Sunday June 4th at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NW. Full details of the show are eagerly awaited.

As the club always attends this event with a Sebring display pitch and club AGM we have booked a Hotel in advance so that we can combine the show with a full weekend Late Spring Tour. As such we have reserved 10 Hotel Rooms where we can take advantage of the fantastic driving roads around the Malvern Hills and meet up as a club.

Weekend will include meeting up on the Friday,

Driving tours in convoy to and from the showground, Club AGM and much more.

The original hotel selected near Worcester has changed, please contact Bob Cassidy for details as seen in the Club Newsletter

The deadline is Friday 28th April to reserve your room with Bob as soon as possible.

Further details of the driving tours will be in the next Magazine/Newsletter.

SOC AGM - Saturday 3rd JUNE at Noon

We will be holding the Club AGM in the marquee on the Saturday of the Malvern show on Saturday 3rd June.

Please come and support the committee and have your say and input to the events etc.

Refreshments will be supplied.

All club members are welcome, we start and NOON sharp.

Silverstone Festival - 25th - 27th AUGUST 2023

Members are asked if there would be any interest as a club to attend the Silverstone Festival, formerly the Silverstone Classic, which is now held over the weekend of August Bank Holiday. The dates are Friday 25th to Sunday 27th August.

It is a huge event with many many classic car clubs in attendance but also a weekend of racing and the opportunity to walk around the Pit garages and look at the racing cars, classic racers from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and enjoy the atmosphere such an event brings.

The club would be grateful for an indication if it is worth arranging a Sebring Owners club stand there for the weekend. Members would have the option of coming for the day if they wish on the Saturday or Sunday, or there is a special deal for attending the event for the weekend, with your car parked on the club stand. Further details on the Silverstone website.

Please contact Kelvin Chambers to let him know if you would be interested in attending by sending an e-mail to sebringoc@gmail.com There needs to be a minimum of 10 cars to justify a club stand at the event.

Autumn Tour — Friday 6th - Sunday 8th October

Kelvin Chambers has negotiated a substantial saving on the normal bed & breakfast rate at the fantastic

4 star Miskin Manor just outside Llantrisant CF72 8ND.

Our rate is just £169.00 for 2 nights bed & breakfast; a substantial saving over the normal rate

BUT

The rooms can only be held for 2 weeks without a £50 deposit being paid. The balance will be due 6 weeks before arrival in October.

SO

You need to let Kelvin know if you are planning to attend BEFORE 16th April.

We will meet at a pub in the Abergavenny area on the Friday lunchtime (or you can meet at the hotel later).

The area has some fantastic driving roads with amazing scenery and is a tour not to be missed.

Saturday will include a visit to the Welsh Folk Museum at St Fagans, followed by a drive through the area.

A Sunday morning drive and Sunday lunch to finish.

Further details to follow once we know how many will be joining us.
