John Penn Weekend 2024 - Saturday 16th-Sunday 17th March 2024
Staying at The Inn for all Seasons this early even was very well attended. Meeting up at a local Cotswold pub we then began the weekend with a countryside drive in convoy to the Hotel. Time for a brief rest before an excellent Evening Meal and much to drink.
Sunday Breakfast was followed by a second countryside drive leading us to Sebring Works, the current owners of Sebring. Here we were entertained and shown around the new main works before setting off home. Another great weekend.

Spring Tour & Malvern Show — 1st and 2nd JUNE 2024 & Club AGM
The National Kit & Sports Car Show and will be held on Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd at the Three Counties Showground, Malvern, Worcestershire, WR13 6NW. Full details of the show are available at https://www.nationalkitcarshow.co.uk.
As the club always attends this event with a Sebring display pitch and club AGM we have booked a Hotel in advance so that we can combine the show with a full weekend Late Spring Tour. As such we have fully booked 10 Hotel Rooms nearby where we can take advantage of the fantastic driving roads around the Malvern Hills and meet up as a club.
Weekend will include meeting up on the Friday,
Driving tours in convoy to and from the showground, Club AGM at 12 Noon and much more. You are welcome to join us at the show and display your Sebring cars and meet other club enthusiasts.
SOC AGM - Saturday 1st JUNE 2024 at Noon
We will be holding the Club AGM in the marquee on the Saturday of the Malvern show on Saturday 1st June.
Please come and support the committee and have your say and input to the events etc.
Refreshments will be supplied.
All club members are welcome, we start the AGM at NOON sharp.
Silverstone Festival - 2rd - 25th AUGUST 2024
Members are asked if there would be any interest as a club to attend the Silverstone Festival, formerly the Silverstone Classic, which is now held over the weekend of August Bank Holiday. The dates are Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th August.
It is a huge event with many many classic car clubs in attendance but also a weekend of racing and the opportunity to walk around the Pit garages and look at the racing cars, classic racers from the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s and enjoy the atmosphere such an event brings.
The club would be grateful for an indication if it is worth arranging a Sebring Owners Club stand there for the weekend. Members would have the option of coming for the day if they wish on the Saturday or Sunday, or there is a special deal for attending the event for the weekend, with your car parked on the club stand. Autumn Tour of Yorkshire — Friday 27th - Sunday 29th October
There are just a few rooms still available at the White Horse Farm in Rosedale Abbey for our North Yorkshire Tour.
Below is a brief plan of the tour, which will be confirmed closer to the time:
We will be meeting at the Bangers and Cash, Thornton Le Dale on Friday 27th for Lunch and a visit.(https://www.mathewsons.co.uk/meet-the-mathewsons). Followed by a drive over moorland to Rosedale Abbey where we will have Dinner in a private dining area.
The next day, 28th, we will be driving the area, enjoying the beautiful moorland surroundings and visit the charming village of Grosmont where Heartbeat was filmed and is the starting point of the Steam Trains that run from here to Pickering. Stopping for Lunch and a second drive in the afternoon. Returning to the Hotel for Dinner once again.
On the Sunday after Breakfast we will do another drive to a different part of the moorlands and aim to be in Malton area for mid morning for a visit to Eden Camp, enjoying a spot of Lunch in the Restaurant for those who wish to before saying our goodbyes.
The hotel has requested that firm bookings for the reserved rooms are completed by Wednesday 1st May. After that the rooms will be freed up for general booking.
